Is in deed a long road. I have to admit that it is frustrating sat times. I am constantly being told to slow down by the staff here. I have to remember that I am not in control of the out come. I am only responsible for the efforts. I will be able to walk again in God’s time not in my time I know it’s a process. After all I am a recovering addict. I still suffer from I want what I want and I want it now. Instant gratification. . I am eager to get back to walking again. It’s very difficult not to be able to use my left arm and leg am making great progress. Today I walked a whole 41 fleet. Yaaaay me
Don’t give up the faith. I am praying for your healing and I know God is faithful to those who trust in him.

Sending you prayers and positive energy. I so relate to wanting it NOW. You will get there Eric. You already know that everything happens for a reason and someday you will know God’s purpose. You are one of the strongest and inspirational people I have met on this recovery journey. Healing hugs my friend! ❤

Aw Eric identity so much with the addictive trait of wanting it now! I can only imagine how difficult it is for you right now…I’m sure you will use this time God has given you to slow down to your advantage, reflecting on all the positives you’ve achieved in you life, in gratitude, sharing your frustrations on here will be a good outlet too! Congratulations on the walking, I’m sure all those hours in the gym are helping in your recovery now, as you will have the strength in your muscles already 💜 Just use the program to get thro this latest challenge one step at a time 🙏🏼😊

Hey Eric: 41 feet is an accomplishment. Consider that as you considered your progress from substance abuse — one day at a time.
With God, and your determination, you will have victory over the stroke. As you have said, “it is not your stroke, you didn’t name and claim it, nor call for it. It is a road bump in your life, that is slowing you down a bit, but not defeating you.
You can still use some of the time you have now in beneficial ways; time to sit and chat with your wife; spending time with Jesus, talking to Him, reading the Bible; getting to know, and encouraging some of the other people in the hospital. Your life is an encouragement, Eric, and you are a blessing to all whom you meet.
God Bless you Brother.
Trusting Jesus, while praying with expectations.
