Good morning everyone.
Today’s day 1 of my quest to quit smoking. I am feeling a little jittery right now because I usually would have smoked 2 cigarettes by now. I have been posting with my support group since I woke up over a hour ago.
I thank everyone for all their support. I feel confident that this time I will be successful at staying quit. As you know I have done this before for short periods of time. The longest time being 1 month. I look forward to the challenge.
I also look forward to hearing from you. If you quit or are thinking of quitting. I would love to hear from you, your thoughts and suggestions are welcomed.
Peace and Blessings

Good luck buddy. You got it. I was a heavy smoker for about 16 years and quit about 3 years ago. I’m glad to hear you are going for it.

No problem. I knew I couldn’t do it for the high financial cost even though I wish that would have been enough. Lol it’s all about the deferral of gratification! Again, good luck!

You can do this. I know you can!!!! My son quit about a month ago. He’s 24 and his non-smoker mom has been on his butt about it since I found out when he was 17 that he was smoking. Save up the money you’d spend on smoking and go hit up all the NY conventions you can 🙂 Wishing you as much success as you’ve had with the other addiction. Side note: smoking is gross 😉 lol really though

Lol. Thank you Vicky. I agree its gross. Its a bad habit that I have struggled with for years. Its time to stop struggling and just let go.

Eh…. within the theme of my last days: I don’t like men who smoke. Non of the non smoking women in the world (70% or so?) likes smoking men. Does that help? 😉
I quit because I was a social paria at the health firm I worked for and too because my boyfriend at the time refused to kiss me. That was SOLID motivation. 😀 Ooh, I also quit for the money and the health thing. True, true. And because I did not want to be enslaved by a cigaret.
You can do it, you know how to quit. Every thought or feeling or action that causes you to grab a cigaret now or in the future comes from the addict within. Get to know him, look him in the eyes, feel what he does to your body. Every urge, craving you get tell you EXACTLY how important it is to stop. Every second that you do not smoke the addict within weakens.
You go! I AM HAPPY THAT YOU QUIT!!! 🙂 I’m telling you, there is healing power in being happy that you quit. 🙂
